For centuries fishermen from the coastal villages of Britain and Ireland wore rugged wool sweaters to protect them out at sea. With their thick knits, high roll necks and patterns inspired by ropes, nets and anchors, sweaters made on the small island of Guernsey became world-famous. Shackleton and his crew even wore them as they set new records on expeditions across Antarctica. So following in the footsteps of one of historys greatest adventurers and generations of ultra-tough fishermen, weve built our own version of the iconic Guernsey sweater.

The Antarctic Sweater is built from high performance Merino wool spun by an historic woollen mill on the coast of the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland. Wind resistant, water repellent, insulating and breathable, its a rugged and substantial wool sweater designed to withstand harsh weather from the Atlantic to Antarctica.
